What is Relay?

Relay is a universal verification system that allows developers to stake once and verify anywhere.

Under the hood, it connects validators, slashing conditions, and incentive mechanisms across protocols, even ones that don’t natively support staking.

It works like a programmable staking SDK, allowing builders to coordinate economic security without recreating validator infrastructure or delegating trust to multisigs and committees.

Why it matters

Until now, staking logic has been tightly coupled to specific chains, which are monolithic by default. If you wanted security, you had two options:

• Bootstrap your own validator set (expensive + slow)
• Rely on centralized actors to watch and report behavior (trusted + brittle)

Relay changes this.

It gives any developer access to an onchain programmable security layer:
